About This Record

What Was Written Down

Bonner, as reported, makes Shabalala a brother of Dlamini waDlovunga who led one of the early Ngwane groups off the Lubombo into southern Eswatini around 1750-1770, so that the clan was in the south before the royal line arrived. Maganeni Dlamini makes Shabalala a brother of Dlamini, Ginindza and Mabuza born of Ludvonga. Duda Shabalala is recorded as a veteran of Lubuya. Recorded from the sources named on this entry; the wording here is Sibaya's own.
