About This Record
What Was Written Down
The Motsa supply the king's left-hand ritual queen, the second sesulamsiti (Kuper p.80 as reported in SWOHP_SIMELANE endnote lxi). Mhlaba Motsa was one of the royal functionaries placed by Mswati II over previously autonomous chiefdoms (THWALA2013 p.18). The two Wikipedia lists disagree on grouping and neither reading is chosen here. Recorded from the sources named on this entry; the wording here is Sibaya's own.
